I. remove the engine thermostat blindly.
If the thermostat is removed blindly due to the high temperature of the engine, the coolant can only carry out a large cycle, and the cooling intensity can not be adjusted, so it is difficult to ensure that the engine works at a more appropriate temperature. On the contrary, the engine often works at a low temperature, resulting in the decrease of engine power, the acceleration of wear and tear, and the increase of fuel consumption.
Second, the engine temperature is not afraid of high, not afraid of low.
Some people think that when driving, the engine temperature is not afraid of high but not low. In fact, when the engine temperature is low, it is also very harmful. It is necessary to drive according to the normal temperature specified in the vehicle operation manual to ensure the service life of the engine.
Third, the tighter the water pump fan belt, the better.
The tighter the belt, the better. If the belt is too tight, it will not only lengthen or break, shorten the service life of the belt, but also lead to the deformation and bending of the generator shaft and the water pump shaft and the early damage of the bearing due to the excessive tension. The tightness of the fan belt of automobile engine shall meet the technical requirements. Generally, the deflection of normal belt assembly is 10-15mm.
IV. the engine is heated up with idle speed.
When the idle speed is used for heating up, due to the low speed, the oil pump can not quickly put the lubricating oil pressure into the lubricating surfaces, and the oil pressure is also low, which makes the moving parts of the engine work under the dry friction or semi dry friction state; because of the poor low temperature atomization of the fuel, the unburned fuel runs into the crankcase, washes off the oil film on the cylinder wall, and also accelerates the wear of the parts.
5. Bake the oil bottom with a blowtorch.
When baking the oil bottom with a blowtorch in winter, it will not only make the additives in the oil change chemically and lose their original performance, but also make the oil cemented and the oil bottom deformed, which is easy to cause fire. A good way is to select the appropriate engine oil according to the local low air temperature in winter. If possible, park the vehicle in the garage with thermal insulation facilities.
6. The tire pressure is better high than low.
Some people like to charge their tires with high air pressure, which can not only overload but also save fuel. This is not true. If the tire pressure is too high, it will reduce the tire ground, increase the wear and tear, and it is easy to blow out. Too high tire pressure reduces the adhesion coefficient of tire, reduces the braking effect when braking, and increases the measurement of slip, which is harmful to driving safety.
