When trimming the die of automobile stamping parts, there is often a headache, that is, the phenomenon of dropping iron chips. Especially around the lower die scrap knife, this situation will be more obvious. This will have a great negative impact on the quality and appearance of stamping products, so we need to deal with it in time.
First of all, we need to find out the specific reasons. The main problems are as follows: 1. The trimming edge is not vertical; 2. The stamping parts do not conform to the mold surface; 3. The secondary cutting of the vertical edge trimming; 4. The edge gap exceeds the standard range; 5. The edge finish is not ideal; 6. The second cutting of the waste knife; 7. The edge hardness is not enough; 8. The cutting depth is too deep.
So, how to solve this problem? For the reasons listed above, the main methods suggested by automobile stamping parts manufacturers are as follows: first, if the scrap iron is produced at the scrap knife position, it is mainly caused by the poor stamping tool technology, so the measures that can be taken are to change the first 10 mm shape of the scrap edge of the upper die trimming, change it to break through the edge shape, and at the same time, lower it Die scrap edge milling empty.
If it is due to the shape of the used template and the stamping part is not in harmony, or the blade gap is unreasonable, then the measures should be taken: use the drawing plate to buckle the various surfaces of the edge mold, and properly adjust the gap repair of the upper and lower blades, as well as the depth of the undercut.
Then in the process of edge trimming, in order to ensure the service life of stamping die as much as possible, we need to ensure that the fillet of the edge on the trimming is 3mm larger than that of the workpiece to be trimmed, and the angle between the edge trimming of the upper die and the edge trimming shall be 10 °.
