Auto parts hardware stamping is a very important part of the automobile structure. In medium and heavy-duty vehicles, most of the covering parts, such as the body outer panel, and some load-bearing and supporting parts, such as the frame, carriage and other auto parts are all auto parts hardware stamping parts. So what should be done when selecting materials for this product?
1、 In the selection of materials, firstly, according to the type and use characteristics of automobile stamping, the metal materials with different mechanical properties are selected to achieve the purpose of not only ensuring product quality, but also saving materials. The following principles should be followed in the selection of stamping materials for auto parts: first of all, the selected materials should meet the use performance requirements of auto parts, have better process performance, and have better economy.
2、 The use and working conditions of each specific automobile parts are different, and the load borne by automobile parts is different, so the requirements for material selection are also very different:
1. Requirements for material properties of car parts: car parts are not very complex in shape, most of them adopt roll forming technology, which has certain requirements for the formability, rigidity, corrosion resistance and weldability of materials. Generally, high-strength steel plate with good formability and weldability is selected. Generally, high-strength steel plate with strength grade of 300-600mpa and ultra-fine grain steel are used.
2. Requirements for material performance of automobile frame parts: frame, middle plate of carriage and some parts used for support and connection are important load-bearing parts, most of which adopt die forming process, requiring materials with high strength and good plasticity, as well as fatigue durability, collision energy absorption capacity and weldability, etc. Generally, high strength steel plate, ultra-fine grain steel plate and ultra-high strength steel plate with good formability are selected.
3. Requirements for material performance of automobile cab parts: most of the automobile cab parts are covering parts, with complex shape and forming, but little stress. Using die forming process, the forming performance of materials becomes the main contradiction. Therefore, materials are required to have formability, tension rigidity, elongation, concave resistance, corrosion resistance and weldability. In the design of automobile sheet metal parts, the variety of steel plate is usually selected according to the stress and the complexity of the shape of the parts. Generally, low carbon cold-rolled steel sheet with excellent drawing performance and ultra-low carbon cold-rolled steel sheet are selected.
Stamping parts of automobile parts are widely used in industry and life. The quality of materials not only determines the performance of products, but also directly affects the process design of stamping parts technology, product quality, cost, service life and production organization. Therefore, it is an important and complex work to select materials reasonably.
